Vans AVE Pro_Reimagined by Beatrice Domond.

Monday, January 11th, 2021

Vans rider Beatrice Domond reimagines the AVE Pro, Vans most technically-advanced skate shoe to date. Beatrice incorporates her style through custom floral print on the sockliner and an ornate paisley design on the shoe’s quarters, inspired by her favorite childhood bedroom set: “I would dream on it of one day getting to be a part of something of this caliber,” she explains. “Not to get too sentimental… a lot of time and thought went into this. I really, really wanted it to be something special.” Her hand-drawn signature shows through the translucent outsole, and much like Beatrice, the shoe’s marshmallow and jade colorway is cool yet understated.

Getting to do a colorway on the Ave Pro is pretty unreal. I mean, it’s the most flattering compliment one can receive,” Beatrice said. “Anthony is a man of few words and high standards. He doesn’t really settle, and it shows throughout his skating and in everything else he does. So, for him to want to do something with both our names on it is a lot of respect.”

Beatrice also recently curated her own Vans Spotify playlist. Similar to her design for the AVE Pro, the songs she included are from special times in her life that bring her back to the moment or day she experienced them.

Vans AVE Pro by Beatrice Domond is available tomorrow (January 12th) at Vans.eu/skate and Vans Skate retailers.

Vans x Quartersnacks Collaboration.

Tuesday, November 10th, 2020

Vans presents a collection with New York’s Quartersnacks that captures the spirit of what both brands stand for: skateboarding as the ultimate outlet for creative self-expression, a form of escapism, and a celebration of the eternally youthful mindset of skating the streets, day-in and day-out.

The collection features the iconic Old Skool in blue and lesser-known Lampin in white, a mid-‘90s skate shoe pulled from the Vans’ archives. Both feature buttery, tumbled premium leather uppers in clean, monochromatic colors, with tennis ball yellow terrycloth linings, and debossed Quartersnacks “25” logos. The extra-wide laces with a multi-colored woven option nods to mid-‘90s fashion and pro model skate shoes from the era.

Despite their throwback aesthetic, Vans x Quartersnacks Old Skool and Lampin are packed with modern technology, including PopCush—the highest level of impact cushioning that’s custom-tuned for better energy return—and Duracap for added longevity.

Through a raw and often nostalgic lens on the current happenings in the skateboarding space, Quartersnacks has emerged as a brand that appeals to a broad demographic of young and seasoned skaters alike. The Vans x Quartersnacks collection follows suit by elevating timeless styles from skateboarding’s history with a newfound freshness.

The Vans x Quartersnacks collection is available worldwide on November 12 at skate retailers and Vans.eu/skate.

Vans_Fabiana Delfino Collection.

Monday, November 9th, 2020

The Fabiana Delfino Sk8-Hi Pro offers stellar performance features that Vans Pro Classics have become known for, including Ollie Guard for added durability – a first for the silhouette. DURACAP reinforced underlays in high-wear areas have also been added to prolong the life of the shoe.

Paying tribute to the Sunshine State, Fabiana incorporated her signature palm tree insignia paired with a cool blue colorway into the Sk8-Hi Pro and apparel collection. Custom artwork also appears on the heel counter with her namesake emblazoned across the tongue label. A cool blue Sidestripe over a natural corduroy upper rounds out her Floridian-inspired design.

Fabiana’s shoe is supported by a head-to-toe collection of apparel and accessories, including a body-skimming stripe polo with contrast ribbing at the neck and sleeve cuffs and Fabiana logo embroidery on the chest. Pair it with the Fabiana cord backpack and Fabiana cord hat in oil blue, both with embroidered logos on the front and back. A Fabiana boxy tee, long sleeve boyfriend tee and boyfriend fleece crew, and crew sock finish off the look, complete with the oil blue/black colorway and custom art.

Focused on simple, classic lines, the Vans x Dime exclusive Half Cab Pro takes a somewhat off-beat approach to a Vans silhouette that emanates historical skate influence and significance.

Elevated suedes and leathers come to life in a signature Dime blue and marshmallow colorway. A classy, translucent sole nods back to the liquid blue palette, with simple oversized Dime branding written across the bottom. Bold yellow details standout on the heel scab and a Dime hang flag, completing the package.

Quasi x Vans_New Crockett High Pro.

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020

Quasi x Vans collaboration launching September 24 at select skate shops, and featuring two fresh colorways of the Crockett High Pro and a vintage utilitarian tote.

The Crockett High Pro elevates Gilbert’s classic pro model, transforming it into a high-top for enhanced performance, with early 20th century basketball and military boot inspired lines. The two new Quasi colorways – true white/surf the web and black/blue — give a nod to Crockett’s love for thrifting, art, and vintage style.

Reinforcing a retro athletic look, the puffy mesh and true-blue hits of the true white/surf the web colorway illustrates a ‘70s sporty materialization. The Crocket High Pro in black/blue references military origins as well as vintage Vans high-tops for a more traditional materialization.

Both colorways boast Vans Pro Skate technical features, including DURACAP-reinforced suede and canvas uppers, UltraCush HD sockliner for high-level impact cushioning, and Wafflecup construction for cupsole support without sacrificing the grip and boardfeel of a traditional vulcanized shoe.

The Crocket High Pro and Quasi tote bag is available worldwide on September 24, 2020, at select Vans Pro Skate shops. For more information, visit Vans.eu/skate.

The Slip-On Pro in black/gold features metallic gold leather in the quarter, a black/gold heel scab, and an embossed “Shake Junt” on the sole.

The Era Pro in black/white rounds out the footwear offering, serving up a classic Shake Junt print.

The Kyle Walker Pro 2.

Thursday, July 16th, 2020

Style, function, and most importantly, “made for skaters” are the founding principles behind the Kyle Walker Pro 2 and apparel pack, designed through Kyle’s perspective to arrive at a truly fresh, clean slip-on skate shoe packed with features and paying homage to the people and places that have shaped him.

For the Kyle Walker Pro 2, Kyle specifically requested WaffleCup technology, the best combination of vulcanized flick and boardfeel in the forefoot, support in the midfoot and heel, and rugged durability. Add to that equation PopCush, the highest level of impact cushioning with better energy return, and Duracap’s extra reinforcement.

The Kyle Walker collection includes a flannel, pullover hoodie, Off The Wall LS tee, classic SS tee, belt and denim. Drawing inspiration from Kyle’s home state flower, the Kyle Walker Classic SS tee features the Oklahoma Rose over large printed Vans typeface in elegant font, while the Kyle Walker PO hoodie features the same graphic as a chest logo with white/black Checkerboard in the waist and sleeve cuffs. To push the limits as much as he does skating, Kyle’s apparel has to perform just as well, which is why his denim was created with Cone SGene for unrivaled stretch and recovery.

The Kyle Walker Pro 2 and Kyle Walker apparel collection will be available at skate shops worldwide, Vans.eu/skate and Vans retail stores on July 30th.
