What happens when the Nike SB Dunk Low Elite meets the Nike SB Koston 3? A fresh new look for the classic Nike SB Dunk, the all-new Nike SB Dunk High Elite. The Nike SB Dunk High Elite honors the past but points to the future of skateboarding, a re-engineering of the classic silhouette built to be lighter and more flexible. As seen on Eric Koston 3, the Nike Flyknit cuff around the ankle extends to connect the ankle and forefoot. “The sock thing is new to skateboarding, but the first time I saw it I was immediately into it,” says Kevin Terpening, who will launch the shoe with a signature colorway.

The SB Dunks were designed by pro skaters Reese Forbes, Gino Iannucci, Richard Mulder and Danny Supa in 2002. Re-issueing the original SB Dunks lows as high tops, Gino Iannucci’s premium black and dark blue colorway is a classic skate silhouette. “I just wanted to use colors I knew I’d actually wear and perforated leather I have always loved. The suede and leather combo seemed solid, so it was as simple as that,” Iannuci says of his original design. “When there’s a true love for something, you understand the importance of respecting the past as well as embracing the future”.
